AN IDEAL STRATEGY TO PREPARE SBI PO (MAIN)
Congratulations to those who have cracked SBI PO
PRELIMS. It is a stepping towards the prestigious banking career and
become bank probationary officer in any of the Nationalized Bank of
India.
State bank of India is the largest bank of India. It offers
various facilities to its employees such as insurance, home rent, magazines,
and newspapers, medical and travelling allowance. It is one of the best
opportunities in the banking sector to be selected in SBI.

Before you start preparing for the SBI PO MAINS, it is very essential to understand what strategy you should
follow to make effective preparation.
The schedule for the
SBI P.O. Mains is as follows:
- Main exam date is 4th June.
- Interview date is on 10th July.
- Final result will declare on 5 august
- Mains exam pattern
- From the above schedule it is quite evident that there is hardly any time left for SBI PO Mains.
Mathematics and
Reasoning are significant subjects for SBI PO exam, as these sections carry
maximum marks.
It is advisable to practice these subjects daily as there
are many topics which are complex and needs constant practice. It will enhance
the speed of solving the questions. Speed matters a lot in solving the exam in
the stipulated time. In SBI PO mains exam Mathematics section consists of 35
questions for 60 marks and time duration is 45 minutes.
It mainly covers Data analysis and interpretation. It
is therefore advisable to have main focus on data interpretation because it
carries maximum marks. Practice more of DI if you want to get selection in the
exam.
DI will cover topics like tabulation, pie chart, bar graph
and line graph. Practice them daily. Generally, 10 data
interpretation and data analysis question are asked.
Practice more calculation to attain speed and accuracy as
these plays an important role in exam.
For banking awareness, candidates must read daily newspaper
and note down the current affairs related to banking and economics. The current
affairs of last six months should be studied while preparing for the same.
Questions of current affairs are generally based on the news
of last six months.
Keep a track of latest news daily from commerce and
economics section to keep you updated for the exam. While reading newspaper you
will improve the language usage also. Besides this, you should practice
basic comprehension reading and understanding as the English section is more on
the comprehension than on the basic questions on grammar.
